Because
A colleague asked me last night why I bother keeping a blog. The first answer that popped into my head was that it saved writing 50 different emails to 50 different people, and, originally it was that. But after blogging for almost two and a half years now it's become something bigger. Partly a way to blow off steam, partly a way to keep in touch, partly a record of thoughts, but mostly just for the joy of writing. I actually feel pangs of guilt when I don't update this thing. It's kind of bizarre. When I haven't updated for a while it's tough to get the motivation going, but as soon as I update I want to do it again. Lots more is in the pipeline anyway, stuff that I've been meaning to blog but haven't got round to yet...something to fill up the rest of my night I suppose. Unfortunately the person who asked this question can't access my blog, us being stuck in the People's Republic and all. So there's probably not much point in saying 'Hi Aleisha!' unless she feels like reading it a year from now. I've forgotten how to wrap posts up nicely so I'll stop now
