Kicking my heels

Well, the Kai En job is now over, the official reason being "creative differences." Read that as you will. I knew it was coming at some point anyway, so I've had an escape plan set up for some time. It'll be a shame to leave my co-workers, all of them great people, but it's just time for me to move on. Email me if you want more info about it, because I'm not really sure I want to make everything entirely public just yet. Suffice to say, I finish on the 14th Feb, so not long to go now. Went to my first expat coffee morning today, which was very successful. Did a lot of networking and much exchanging of name business cards. Found out about a casting agency too, which should propel me into the stratosphere some time soon. There's lots to tell everyone now that it seems my blog hiatus is over. I've got a girlfriend now, a really great Shanghainese girl. (or formidable, the French pronunciation, as we like to say) We've been going out for about a month now, and already she's bitching about my not knowing enough Shanghainese. Oh well.
