Changing the world, one site at a time...

Emailed RSScalendar.com a while ago with a feature request (adding a + to each day to add an event, as mentioned in a previous post). Actually got implemented, which has made me realise how two-way the net really is. It used to be that I'd get impressed by anyone who had their own domain name, assuming that they wouldn't really give much of a damn about a common pleb like myself. I guess it's because I've been online for quite a while. I was online when having a domain name of one's own was a big deal and I guess the fact that that isn't the case hasn't really sunk in until recently. I've been getting positive and personal feedback from these companies that I email, so I guess I'll try to take a bigger role on the web from now on. In other news, I'm going to Christchurch tomorrow, so may not be much new on my blog for a week or so. Keep meaning to email all the social bookmark sites out there (Eris only knows, there are enough of them,) and seeing what their thoughts are on standardising on a common file format. Shouldn't be too hard considering it's all pretty much the same data format (URL, description, tags) and all available via RSS. Will backup my del.icio.us bookmarks to check this when I get time. Not expecting too many surprises.
