On social software

Pretty excited about the glut of social software coming out at the moment. Sure, Blogger's been around for some time, but now there are social bookmarkers, social post-it notes, social bloody everything. I just hope they'll keep to open standards and allow for easy import/export. Already I've got accounts on: Just a quick run-down of what I've found so far: Social Bookmarking
  • Del.icio.us - very plain interface, but lots of 3rd party hacks
  • Frassle - pretty new, haven't played with it much yet
  • Simpy - great interface, imports, but difficult to integrate the RSS with Firefox nightlies
Friend sites
  • Friendster - meet friends of friends of friends
  • Orkut - invitation only -- where's my invitation??
Post-its
  • Webnote - great online note-taker, with a personal RSS feed. Mmmm....RSS
If you know of any more social software then let me know. Just think of this post as a quick geek-out if you don't know what I'm talking about.
