Well, I guess a blog update is well overdue. I had a great time with my girlfriend while she was here, although we didn't go outside of Taipei much. I'll try to upload some photos if/when I can be bothered. Back to work again tomorrow, agh. Still, I've only got 3 weeks left so I can't complain too much.

Things I'll miss about Taiwan:

• Food
• Convenience stores everywhere
• Eslite bookstore

Things I won't miss:

• The subtle aroma of stinky tofu
• Godawful drivers
• Musical dustbin trucks
• Musical recycling trucks
• Sonofabitch loudspeakers that are attached to any and every commercial vehicle
• The list goes on...

I'm still considering whether I should come back again. The money's pretty good, and if I find a nicer neighbourhood most of my moans may disappear. On the other hand, I'd like to travel around more, so we'll see what happens. Either way, it'll be a while before I go anywhere new. I've got a lot to handle back in NZ.

Oh yeah, I heard Shrek 2 is coming in May 2004. Hooray :)
